Summary
As founder of video gaming website Theplayer.ie, I wanted to expand our media offerings to encompass a web series or TV show to go along with our popular podcast.
So in 2011 we teamed up with Leon Elliott and Nightmaker Studios to create Unit 25 Productions, with the goal to produce TV quality shows on miniscule budgets.
Our first show “The Splitscreen Show” focused on the games industry, both locally and internationally and featured interviews with high profile guests such as Dan Greenawalt of Turn 10, Patrick Bach of DICE, Richard Lemarchand of Naughty Dog and the founders of Bioware, Dr. Greg Zeschuck and Dr. Ray Muzyka. The show also highlighted a number of local developers including PopCap, Open Emotion Studios and BitSmith.
